MIC Injections and Their Role in Weight Management

By Ollie Anerson

To shorten L-Methionine, Inositol and Choline, the acronym MIC is commonly used. These are lipotrophic agents which help with the breakdown of fat during metabolism in the body.

A therapy that doctors use to help a patient's success during weight loss is to use MIC injections in accordance with a hCG Protocol. Fat which is released into the body due to hCG is affected by lipotrophic injections to assist the liver to move fat away. Vitamins like B6, B12 and a compound like Cyanocobalamin are injected at times along with MIC, during some hCG program regimens, these substances aid in fat burning.

The human body can't produce L-Methionine, one of the 8 essential amino acids in the building blocks of protien. Sesame seeds, Brazil nuts, spinach, potatoes and also meats and dairy products contain L-Methionine, which is also taken as a supplement by ingesting or injection. L-Methionine is useful in the treatment of liver disease and is a recommended supplement for vegetarians.

For weight management, L- Methionine helps the body process and eliminate fat. It is a required amino acid in the production of cysteine and taurine, which help the body eliminate toxins.

The body is able to synthesize inositol so it is no longer considered to be a vitamin, it is a carbohydrate which is not a sugar, and is no longer a member of the Vitamin B complex. Additionally, it can be found in many different fruits like oranges and bananas, and cantaloupe, and in things like peanuts and raisins.

In the management of weight, inositol, when used in combination with other B complex vitamins, helps the liver break down fats in the body, and when used in combination with other compounds in a MIC injection, especially choline, inositol forms lecithin which is known to aid in the metabolism of fat.

The liver does produce choline, but normally it does not produce enough of this essential nutrient for the body. Many times grouped with vitamins in the B complex, similar to inositol, it is not actually a B vitamin. The liver, kidneys, and gallbladder require choline in their regulation processes.

A methyl donor that assists detoxification in the liver during weight reduction, choline is highly important to in the function of fat metabolizing.

Soybeans along with eggs are two of our best choline-based food sources, as well as beef liver, cauliflower, tofu and almonds.

Interestingly, the components of a MIC injection, especially inositol and choline, have been found to improve mental function, improve feelings of depression, and as part of a successful hCG Protocol, MIC injections are typically given weekly for the duration of the program.
